M.K. Ajjour, MD., F.A.C.C
Doctor Ajjour is a founding member of Cardiovascular Institute of
Michigan. He graduated from Texas A&M University and University of
Guadalajara in Mexico. His residency was served at Wayne State
University. He completed a cardiology fellowship as well as a fellowship
of Invasive Cardiology and Angioplasty at St John Hospital in Detroit in
1988. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular
Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. Dr Ajjour is
on staff at St John Hospital,
Beaumont Grosse Pointe, Henry Ford Macomb, Henry Ford Cottage and Mt Clemens General Hospital. He is the President of Cardiovascular
Institute of Michigan.

Brian Barbish, MD., F.A.C.C
Dr Barbish received his education at Wayne State University. His
residency was completed at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. He
completed a Cardiology Fellowship at Wayne State University and an
Interventional Cardiology Fellowship there as well in 1993. He is Board
Certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Internal
Medicine. He has interventional Certifications in Directional Coronary
Atherectomy, Johnson & Johnson Stents and in Mechanical Rotational
Atherectomy. He is a member of The Americal College of Physicians,
American College of Cardiology, Michigan State Medical Society and the Wayne
County Medical Society. Dr Barbish has been a member of Cardiovascular
Institute of Michigan since 1996. He is on staff at St John Hospital,
Beaumont Grosse Pointe, Henry Ford Macomb, Henry Ford Cottage, and Mt Clemens
General Hospital.

Subhi
Sbahi, MD. F.A.C.C.
Dr. Sbahi
completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New
York, and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital,
Detroit. He also served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Englewood
Hospital, New Jersey. He is Board Certified in Comprehensive
Echocardiography, Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography, Nuclear
Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology and Internal
Medicine. He is the Medical Director, Echocardiography Laboratory at St
Josephs Mercy. Dr. Sbahi is on staff at St. John Hospital,
Beaumont Grosse Pointe, Henry Ford Macomb, Henry Ford Cottage, and Mt Clemens Hospital.

Sarine John, MD., F.A.C.C.
Dr. John received her Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine
in 1990. She then completed an internship and her residency training at
Boston City Hospital. She went on to a Cardiology Fellowship at
Detroit's Henry Ford Hospital. She is Board Certified by the American
Board of Internal Medicine for Cardiovascular
Medicine. She is also on staff at
Beaumont Grosse Pointe, Henry Ford Macomb, and St John Hospital. She is
interested in all aspects of general cardiology, especially preventative care
and valvular disease.

Majid Alzagoum, MD Dr. Alzagoum completed a Cardiology
Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital then completed an Interventional Cardiology
Fellowship at St John Hospital. His training started with a Medical
Degree from Baghdad University Medical School, followed by an Internal
Medicine Residency at Henry Ford Hospital. Prior to coming to
Cardiovascular Institute of Michigan, Dr. Alzagoum was an Internist at Henry
Ford Hospital. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal
Medicine for Internal Medicine and for Cardiovascular Medicine.

Ali
Shakir, MD
Dr. Shakir is board certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology,
Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Shakir obtained his
medical degree at the University of Texas and went on to complete his
fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Shakir is on staff at
St John Hospital, St John Macomb, Beaumont Grosse Pointe, Henry Ford
Cottage and Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals.

Victor
Abiragi, MD Prior to joining Cardiovascular Institute of Michigan, Dr.
Abiragi had his own practice for many years and received his education in
France and his residency at St John Hospital. He is a member of The
American College of Cardiology, Wayne State Medical Society and the
Michigan State Medical Society. Dr. Abiragi is on staff at Beaumont
Grosse Pointe
Hospital and St John Hospital.

Bobak Rabbani, MD Dr Rabbani is board certified in both Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine. His training includes a Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital and Internship & Residency at Wayne State University as well as Georgetown University Hospital. His medical school training was at Harvard University. He will be on staff at Beaumont
Grosse Pointe Hospital, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, St John Hospital, and St John Macomb Hospital.
